Known as "The Wizard" by his fans and peers, is widely considered to be one of the most well rounded and versatile MMA experts in the world. Not only is Matt a world champion in Submission wrestling, but also remains undefeated  in the pay per view Battlecade Extreme fighting championships. Matt also remains undefeated in Kickboxing and Muay Thai, where he was the North American champion before retiring that title.

“The Wizard’s” accomplishments and skills are world renowned as a fighter, however, he is one of the most versatile and respected  men in the martial arts business outside the ring as well. Matt is the owner and head instructor of the AMC martial arts center where he has trained more legitimate world champions in all forms of combat sports than any other place in the world.  The Wizard’s resume shows his versatility as he may be the only man in the world to be successful in so many areas of the MMA business.  Matt has served as a World class trainer, promoter, sanctioning body president and founder, major event referee, major event judge, major event rule director, major promotion director of talent development, major event director of affiliate promotions, major event matchmaker, pay per view television commentator, MMA journalist, MMA reporter and author.

Matt “The Wizard” Hume holds wins in Extreme fighting over formerly undefeated world Shooto champion Eric Paulson and formerly unbeaten Ultimate fighting champion Pat Militech.  Matt also defeated formerly unbeaten Extreme fighting champion and Olympic gold medalist Kenny Monday by submission in only 45 seconds in the main event of the pay per view world submission wrestling championships "The Contenders".  Matt’s impressive victory over Kenny Monday was witnessed by Sheik Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nayhan, who is a Prince and Son of Sultan Zayed of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.  Sheik Tahnoon was so impressed that he asked Matt to come to Abu Dhabi to teach him and his combat team.  Matt accepted the offer and went Abu Dhabi.  After Matt’s first visit and training sessions with Sheik Tahnoon, Sheik Tahnoon became inspired to start the Abu Dhabi submission wrestling championships where Matt would later compete along with his students.  Matt remains unbeaten in submission wrestling including his matches in Abu Dhabi.  Matt’s students have also had success in Abu Dhabi and won several world championships!

Trevor Jackson is the highest ranking instructor personally trained by Matt Hume. Trevor possess the expertise and attention to detail necessary to be an AMC instructor. He is technically superior in his ability to impart the technical aspects of Matt Hume's AMC Pankration system to practitioners of all ages and abilities. Patient, yet demanding, Trevor makes learning easy and fun while challenging the AMC students to constantly improve their knowledge and skill in all areas.

AMC Instructor: Steve Skidds

Brawn and brains, Steve alternates between teaching, training champions and flying as a pilot for a major airline. Steve leads by example as well as giving precise and friendly instruction.

AMC instructor: Luke Pitman

Luke started training under Matt Hume as a 7th grade wrestler in Jr. high school and has continued to train and fight as an adult, The many years of training, dedication and experience have made Luke a knowledgeable and valuable asset to the AMC students and fighters.
